James got his start in film as a layout artist for the animated series 'Turbo Teen' and 'Dragons Lair' in the mid-80s. In 1997 he created Atlantis Studios, a graphic arts studio specializing in adapting film properties into graphic novel format.
Among the notable projects adapted by the studio was The Librarian: Return to King Solomon's Mines, a Dean Devlin / Electric Entertainment film, the second in the popular Librarian movie series. His original comic The Adventures of Paula Peril has been adapted into a feature film.
Inspired by his childhood love of science fiction and family-friendly adventure films, James began adapting his screenplay 'Fallen Star' into an exciting graphic novel series called The Star Runner Chronicles. This series will roll out in multiple, three-part episodes over the next two years.
